About Us

Jake’s love of trucking started at a very young age, and according to his mother, his first spoken word was “truck”. Over the years his interest in big rigs grew steadily. Jake is a third generation truck driver and entrepreneur. Both of his grandfathers were truckers and two of his uncles drove and owned trucking companies. When Jake was 13 years old, he began to spend summers and after-school hours working for his family, sweeping the warehouse and unloading trucks. At the age of 16, he made local deliveries in a pickup truck throughout his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. Jake received his Commercial Driver’s License when he was 18-years-old. A few years later, he relocated to Nacogdoches, Texas and took a dispatching job with Soil Fertility of Texas. He decided to go back on the road, pulling a flatbed trailer to support his growing family. Eventually, his dreams of owning his own trucking company came true when he purchased a pickup truck and gooseneck trailer, hauling “hotshot” loads throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Jake has logged nearly 1.7 million miles using several different types of trailers, including flatbeds, step-decks, and RGN’s. He found his favorite loads to haul were oversized and overweight. In 2010 Jake decided to take the experience and knowledge he gained over the years and become an agent with Greentree Transportation Company.
